Kendo is not a path of the blade, but a way of meeting with the heart. To understand and consider your opponent, this spirit of empathy is the beginning of life, giving sword. To remain humble, never forgetting one’s once unrefined self, this is the duty of a true practitioner. And in the end, there is only one thing that remains in Kendo, ‘Love’.
